# BladeRunner > Faster drop-in macOS runners for GitHub Actions. A job moves to BladeRunner by changing its runs-on line to bladerunner-macos. BladeRunner runs macOS GitHub Actions jobs for GitHub organizations that have an invite and have installed the BladeRunner GitHub App. Each job gets a fresh macOS virtual machine on Ultra Series Mac Hardware (Apple Silicon), cloned from a golden image that carries Xcode, Homebrew and the GitHub Actions runner, and destroyed when the job ends. A queued job is running in under 6 seconds. Access is invite only. People join the waitlist at https://ura.bladerunner.sh/signup with their name, email and the repository they want to run. An admin emails the invite; it comes with $20 in credits. An owner of the organization then installs the GitHub App on the repositories it should cover and loads prepaid credits on the dashboard at https://ura.bladerunner.sh. Label and price: - `bladerunner-macos`: macOS on Apple Silicon, $0.10 per minute. Use it alone in runs-on. Never add arm64 or any other label: a label no runner carries leaves the job queued forever. - Linux and Windows jobs are not run. People who would move those too register interest at https://bladerunner.sh/#platforms. Billing: prepaid credits, charged per minute, valid for 12 months, no seats and no tiers. Packs are $25, $100 (+5% bonus), $500 (+10%) and $2,000 (+15%). Speed, from the public XcodeBenchmark leaderboard (github.com/devMEremenko/XcodeBenchmark), one row per provider's priciest Mac tier, Xcode 16 table where it has the chip: BladeRunner Ultra Series Mac Hardware 69 s; Namespace M5 Max (16 vCPU, $0.20/min prepaid) 84 s; WarpBuild M4 Pro (12 vCPU, $0.16/min) 103 s; Blacksmith M4 Pro (12 vCPU, $0.16/min) 103 s; Codemagic Mac mini M4 ($0.114/min, own CI) 141 s; Depot M4 (8 CPU, $0.08/min) 141 s; GitHub macos-latest-xlarge M2 Pro (5 vCPU, $0.102/min) 147 s. Per build that is $0.115 here against $0.188 to $0.280 everywhere else, which is why price per build matters more than price per minute. Leaderboard rows are whole chips on bare metal; hosted VMs get a slice, so real runner times are longer. ## Docs - [Set up with a coding agent](https://bladerunner.sh/docs/agents.md): the prompt to paste into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, and the note for a repository's AGENTS.md - [Pricing](https://bladerunner.sh/pricing.md): the per-minute price, the per-build comparison, and how billing works - [Status](https://bladerunner.sh/status): whether the fleet is picking up jobs
